Born on March 13, 1989, Yemi Eberechi Alade is an Afropop singer, composer, actress, and activist from Nigeria. She signed to Effyzzie Music Group in 2009 after winning the Peak Talent Show, and in 2014, her song “Johnny” became popular.
Since then, Yemi has become well-known in the music business and is regarded as one of the biggest musicians in Africa. She went on successive global tours after the publication of her albums King of Queens and Mama Africa, both of which saw enormous financial success.
She became the first girl to win the MAMAs for Best girl Artist in 2015 after winning the MTV African Music Awards for Best Female in both 2015 and 2016. She was also nominated for Artiste of the Year in 2015.
