The video of Nollywood actor, Kolawole Ajeyemi, mourning the demise of his colleague, Murphy Afolabi, has sparked mixed reactions from netizens as a lot of people are having different thoughts about it.
The actor made a video of himself crying as a reaction to his colleague’s death.
Nollywood actor, Murphy Afolabi, died on Sunday, the 14th of March, 2023. According to PUNCH, the actor who is known for mostly acting in Yoruba movies was said to have slipped and fell in the bathroom of his house located in Ikorodu. He reportedly died from the injuries he sustained from the fall.
The tragic incident happened in the morning of Sunday, the 14th of May, 2023.
Nollywood filmmaker and the president of the Yoruba movies directors guild, Seun Olaiya, announced the demise of Murphy Afolabi in a WhatsApp community of fellow filmmakers.
He stated that the news of the actor’s death came as a rude shock to him because he was still hailing him not long before he heard about the news.
A lot of Nollywood movie stars have also taken to their social media page to mourn the actor.
One of them is actor Kolawole Ajeyemi, whose video is causing mixed reactions on the internet.
Kolawole Ajeyemi made a video of himself crying and mourning Murphy Afolabi’s death. He can be seen weeping profusely and singing along to a song in the video which he posted on his Instagram page.
In the caption, he wrote.
“End of the road. Good night, Murphy”.
This has sparked multiple reactions from netizens. Some people commiserate with the actor, sending their condolences. On the other hand, there are people who found the video inappropriate, saying that it is not necessary, and he didn’t have to post a video of him crying to show that he is truly pained by his colleague’s death.
