One of the largest nights in Nigerian entertainment is the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), which is also a significant fashion event. To commemorate the best of Nollywood, celebrities from throughout the nation assemble, and they are always dressed to impress.
On Saturday, May 20, the Eko Hotel hosted the 9th annual award ceremony, which honored African film industry brilliance.
The red carpet was vibrant, glamorous, and fashionable. There was plenty for everyone to admire, from elegant and sophisticated outfits to traditional Nigerian clothing.
Mercy Eke’s costume, however, was the one that caught Cardi B’s attention at this year’s AMVCA. The rapper added the caption “8888888” to a photo of the reality star, which roughly translates to “ate the outfit” or “killed it.”
The event’s famed stylist, Swanky Jerry, styled Mercy Eke. On the other side, Xtra Bride Lagos created the dress.
