37 people who are suspected of being involved in internet fraud have been apprehended by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) during a major operation that took place recently in the Federal Capital Territory.

The anti-graft agency reported the arrest of suspects in the Abuja neighborhoods of Jahi, Dawaki, and Gwarimpa via its official communication channel. These individuals were taken into custody on the basis of reliable information about their unlawful acts.

Significant things were taken from the suspects by law enforcement during the raids. These items included an Apple wristwatch, six international passports, 20 laptops, 66 mobile phones, and six automobiles.

The Commission underlined its dedication to conducting exhaustive investigations and declared that following the conclusion of the investigation, the suspects would be charged with crimes.
