Two Dead As Suspected Fulani Herdsmen Attack Agatu Community In Benue



Suspected Fulani herdsmen have stormed the Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State killing two persons.

A source who identified himself as Adole Jose Ehoda decried the sad incident via a Facebook post saying “I’m using this medium to reach out to the security operatives of awful development in Odugbeho Agatu.

“A confirmed information reaching us after the Sunday and today’s fire incidents at Oshigbudu in Agatu local government of Benue state which claimed lives of innocent citizens that throw the entire local government in the state of mourning has it that one Mr. Simon Peter & Babayo met their untimely death after they left Aila heading to Odugbeho.

He went further to say that “Mr. Elaigwu Moses Adokpa on a telephone conversation made it clear that they were mercilessly murder by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

“As at the time of filing this report they are great tension in Odugbeho Agatu as the whole villagers ran from the village to the neighboring village for safety.
