Transfer: Frank Leboeuf Urges Chelsea to Pursue Victor Osimhen in January
Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf has advised the Blues to consider signing Victor Osimhen
during the upcoming January transfer window. Osimhen, who currently plays for Napoli, has garnered
attention recently following a TikTok video posted by Napoli that made fun of him for missing a penalty
in a recent match against Bologna. In response, Osimhen removed all Napoli-related content from his
social media accounts, and his agent, Roberto Calenda, has threatened legal action against the club over
the TikTok post.
With less than two years remaining on his contract with Napoli and slowed negotiations for an
extension, Osimhen’s future with the club has come into question. Given the ongoing controversies,
Leboeuf believes Chelsea should explore the possibility of acquiring the Nigerian international striker
when the transfer window reopens in January.
Leboeuf also highlighted Chelsea’s need for reinforcement in midfield, suggesting experienced players
like Toni Kroos or Luka Modric, who may be older and play fewer games but could still provide valuable
contributions to the club.
Chelsea, known for its ambitions in the transfer market, will undoubtedly be closely watched during the
upcoming transfer window for any potential moves to address their striker and midfield needs.
