Naijaset recently reported that several weeks ago, an unnamed Islamic cleric made a controversial statement, suggesting that Nigeria’s First Lady should face consequences for her Christian beliefs.

Despite facing these threats, the First Lady remained undaunted. At the age of 64, she expressed that she harbors no fear of death.

She conveyed this sentiment during a visit to the Emir of Bauchi, Rilwan Adamu, prior to inaugurating various projects in the State on Tuesday.

“I wish to express my gratitude to His Excellency, the Governor of Bauchi. He continuously assures me of my safety in Bauchi, but I want to emphasize that I am beyond the age of fear. With over 60 years of life granted to me by God, I shouldn’t be afraid of death.

I am grateful that you encouraged my visit. Nigeria is a nation for all of us, and now is the time for us to come together in unity more than ever before.”
