@Gechy Gech wrote: “I love that you are becoming a wonderful woman” in response to Rodri’s Ballon d’Or award.

On 29 October, the Spanish midfielder received the award after helping Manchester City win four consecutive Premier League titles and Euro 2024.

Many were surprised by the choice, as Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior was considered the favourite to win after winning both La Liga and the Champions League.

Just before the event in Paris, Real Madrid announced that they would not be taking part due to their disrespectful behaviour towards Vinicius.

Daniel expressed his opinion on

“Rodri has not been nominated for the title of Premier League Player of the Year (2023/24), was not Man City’s Player of the Year last season or Spain’s Best Midfielder, but is he a Ballon d’Or winner? Him, Rodri, doesn’t deserve this.”

He continued: “The fact that Vini (second) is ahead of Bellingham is crazy. Jude Bellingham outshone all of this year’s nominees in achievements.”

Daniel compared the Ballon d’Or to the Grammys, saying they have a similar atmosphere.

“Ballon d’Or 🤝 Gr@mmys. Same vibe.”
