Chelsea boss, Frank Lampard, has identified midfielder, Mateo Kovacic because of the player that ‘helped’ his side defeat West Ham United 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.
Lampard said Kowacic helped Chelsea to urge on the ball throughout the encounter against West Ham.
Chelsea defeated West Ham, because of two goals from Tammy Abraham and a strike from Thiago Silva.
“We started rather well, but within the last half for periods, we didn’t have the maximum amount of the ball and getting Mateo Kovacic on helped us because he got us on the ball to assist us through that playing period,” Lampard was quoted by Chelsea’s official website as saying after the sport.
“It wasn’t vintage from us, but we were good in parts. the simplest part on behalf of me was the character the lads shown, having inherited the sport off the rear of two defeats.”
Chelsea’s next game is against Arsenal on Saturday.
