Nollywood actress Linda Osifo has shared her experience with racial slurs and the contemplation of
bleaching her skin during her teenage years in Canada. Linda, who moved to Canada at the age of 16,
revealed that she faced racial discrimination that was particularly distressing because it came from
people of her own shade.
In a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Linda discussed her encounters with
racism and the impact it had on her self-esteem. She mentioned that she considered skin bleaching due
to the hurtful comments she received, especially from individuals she interacted with regularly.
Linda Osifo also noted that relocating to Nigeria provided her with a more positive environment where
she could appreciate her natural skin color and identity.
