He called on all APC members across the state to be actively involved within the poll by participating in altogether activities before the election.

“APC Rivers State has not only come to remain but must move far away from our inglorious past once we didn’t plan adequately for elections thanks to the actions of 1 man.

“This time around we shall not only participate but must also strive to win seats within the wards and, government councils,” Chioma said.

He called on Ogbobula to prevent deceiving and misleading party faithful within the state saying the group led by Amaechi had a penchant for creating false hope for unsuspecting members of the party to repeatedly and perpetually keep their political future abeyant.

“This evil must stop now because APC may be a party with a primary duty to contest elections and not a social club that finishes up with meetings, airport receptions for the Minister, birthday parties, thanksgiving, and burial ceremonies”, he said.

He described as a mirage the plan by the Amaechi’s camp to use the 2015 government chairmanship litigants to prevent the forthcoming poll.

Explaining further, he said: “May I remind them that the tenure of office that they were elected into office had long elapsed and this current government Council elections scheduled by the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission RSIEC for April 2021, is that the second within the series after their long-defunct tenure.

“They must learn from the classical Ladoja case albeit we all know that it’s their right to hunt redress in Court believing that justice will come their way someday.

“It is quite curious but instructive to notice that those known forces urging them on and engineering them today to push in futility for the scuttling of the forthcoming LGA election had all the opportunities during this world to save lots of or a minimum of help them but did not do so.

“The question now’s, why did the Hon Minister of Transportation not comply with a minimum of meet with them before this point to listen to their own side of the case and possibly offer advice or assistance regardless of how little? Why are they being given prominence now and to what end?

“Is it because they’re needed as willing tools to scuttle an election and later dumped as is usually the case? they’re all adults and will know when the sport is over.

“They should stop playing into the hands of individuals who are only curious about is to use and dump them. Are they not uninterested in getting used as pawns only for the sustenance of the godfather’s political visibility and relevance? For the avoidance of doubt, this effort of theirs won’t yield any meaningful result and that they should know by now”.

Chioma said the APC was committed to making sure that youths et al., who had the prospect to occupy elective political offices were encouraged to possess an opportunity to win elections and occupy political positions.

“This commitment for giving children the prospect is what we cannot compromise because if those whose kernels were cracked by the benevolent spirits didn’t have such privileges, the likes of Amaechi wouldn’t have had a taste of power.

“The question now’s, when shall blind followership get replaced by proper qualitative reasoning? When shall these children awaken from this deep slumber of deceit and take their destiny into their own hands? APC members must not wait till tomorrow to try to do the needful because the time is now”.

Also, Abe during a statement signed by his Media Aide, Parry Benson, Senator Magnus Ngei Abe, called on Rivers people to return out en bloc and participate in the forthcoming government council elections.

The senator recalled that Wike advocated free and fair elections barren of federal might and force saying that it behooved on him to justify his mantra by giving the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RESIEC), a blank check to conduct, free and credible polls.

He objected to some dissenting voices in APC that wanted members to boycott the election, insisting that political parties formed as a vehicle for members to aspire to electoral positions.

Abe said: “The incontrovertible fact that we’ve different political parties doesn’t mean that we are suddenly, not Rivers people. it’s not correct, which isn’t the way to grow the state.

“If we don’t begin to participate, how can we tell the planet that the election was free or fair? How can we say what was wrong with an election during which we refused to require part? How can we make elections better in Rivers State if we don’t begin and participate?

“The requirement to contest in an election is that you simply should be a member of a party and that we are members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and thus eminently qualified to contest within the elections in Rivers State. it’s our State.

“We are challenging the governor of Rivers State to arrange the election within the way he said he wanted elections to be organized and let Rivers people leave and contest. Test their popularity for the people to decide on those they need to run the affairs at the grassroots. That’s the aim of politics.

“Wike has always talked about how he wants free and fair election without federal might and force, this is often the time to point out working. We are challenging the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) to form the election free and fair, let Rivers people leave, and contest
