It is a heartbreaking sight to see bonds that were once of respect, leadership and shared dreams crumble. Leaders and mentors who shared a common vision and years of loyalty are now torn apart by misunderstandings. In moments like these, KWAM 1’s determination to rekindle the harmony lost between Pasma and Thai Currency serves as a lighthouse reminding us all of the value of unity.

In recent weeks, the Fuji music world has been embroiled in a heated drama between Pasma and his former protégé, Tay Currency.
Tensions escalated so much that they attracted the attention of KWAM 1, a respected elder on both sides, who attempted to mediate and restore harmony. Wanting to understand the roots of this rift,
KWAM 1 invited Taye Currency to their home, providing him with a private space to uncover the issues behind their rift.
Nigeria’s acclaimed Fuji star, Taye Akande Adebisi, better known as Taye Currency, made waves recently when he visited the iconic residence of King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, popularly known as KWAM 1. There, they addressed the smoldering Fuji controversy. In the midst of a turmoil – Taye has fallen out with Fuji heavyweight, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma.

The drama between Taye and Pasuma erupted when, during a live performance, a fan objected to Taye calling his mentor, Pasuma, his “father” in the music industry. Taye, who is a proud and confident man, made it clear that he respects Pasuma as an older brother but does not see him as a father figure.

Pazma, who is trying to establish his legacy, did not like this statement and it caused an uproar on social media, shocking the Fuji community.

KWAM 1, who is revered as the Godfather of Fuji and deeply respected by both artists, attempted to intervene during a recent show, urging Taye to resolve the growing tension with an apology.

Though Currency formally apologized, this did not seem to scratch the surface of their feud and tensions remained as heated as ever.

Determined to stop the rift from deepening, KWAM 1 went a step further and invited Taye Currency to his mansion, known as an iconic place of wisdom and advice.

The two were spotted sharing a candid moment in KWAM 1’s favorite corner of the house, the kitchen, where he spoke candidly about the hurt he has suffered in Taye and Pasma’s relationship.
In this rare moment, Kwamu Taiye, with the passion and authority of a true Fuji patriarch, recalled the deep-rooted history and unbreakable bond he and Pasuma share, and warned that such discord between Fuji brothers is “taboo”.

As the conversation continued, KWAM 1’s leadership grew more serious. He instructed Tay not only to reconcile but to actively maintain the respect that unites them. Clearly moved, Tay agreed to make amends and respect KWAM 1’s wishes, a promising move that seemed to rekindle hope for unity among fans.

Sealing their heartfelt discussion in the signature style of Fuji musicians, Taye and KWAM 1 broke into a powerful Fuji tune, a musical tribute to the harmony they hoped to restore.
