2021 UTME: JAMB begins registration, gives date for exam




Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Wednesday announced that it’s started the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) registration.

The exam body during a statement issued in Bwari, FCT, by its Head, Public Affairs and Protocols, Dr Fabian Benjamin, on Wednesday said all potential candidates must provide their National Identity Number (NIN) at the purpose of registration.

According to the spokesperson, NIN is mandatory for participation within the 2021 registration exercise.

Fabian also announced that UTME will hold from Saturday, June 5 to Saturday, June 19, 2021.

“Registration will happen in 700 centres across the country; the list is out there altogether the state offices of JAMB and on its website at


“The approved schedule for registration and examination is that registration exercise will start on Thursday, April 8 and endways Saturday, May 15, 2021.

“Candidates also are to notice that the registration for Direct Entry applicants will run concurrently thereupon of UTME candidates.

“There are going to be no extension of your time for the sale of the UTME or DE application documents.

“Mock examination are going to be persisted Friday, April 30 for those that indicate interest and are registered before April 24.

The statement informed that venues of the examination would be at any of the centres within the candidate’s chosen examination town, adding that the registration fee for the 2021 application documents remained N3, 500 and N500 for recommended Reading Text.

The exam body explained that information regarding the registration processes and requirements would be made available on the board’s official website and also advertised within the electronic and medium from April 5.
